Safely manoeuvring a heavy goods vehicle is challenge for even the most experienced of drivers. As the truck turns, other road users including vulnerable cyclists and pedestrians, disappear into the blind spot area and out of the driver's view. The new Dometic MagicWatch MWE 4004 blind spot system prevents this risk. Four sensors watch the critical blind spot area and the passenger side whilst turning. They switch on automatically when the vehicle moves at a manoeuvring speed and the driver gets a double warning – visually, via the three-color LED display in the cockpit and audibly via the loudspeaker – if there is anything nearby.
